Random Memory #1 - When I was little...

I hated ham. Couldn't stomach it to save my life. I had one of those mothers who made you sit at the table until you cleaned your plate. I used to gag on every bite.

I love ham now. Had a bizarre craving for it when I was pregnant with my daughter. Can't get enough of it now. Not sure why I thought of that - it sort of just popped into my head.

This picture was taken at my friend Mal's Christmas party. I thought the blurry quality of it was appropriate considering the way I felt for the three days following the party. You know you are drunk when you need to vomit and you recruit the help of your boyfriend to stick his fingers down your throat.

There are few people in my life that don't know that while I love taking pictures I avoid being on the other side of the camera every chance I get. I am not very good at posing for pictures. I do have my "good" days when I don't mind but mostly I try to avoid it when possible.

Part of the reason I am camera shy is because I have never been overly confident about how I look. I am definitely more comfortable in my skin then I have ever been but the ratio of good to bad photos is still pretty low. Looking back through the photos taken of me over the years it is easy to see why I wouldn't have wanted to have any permanent record captured on film. I just simply don't photograph well.

In an effort to overcome some of my hatred I have decided to share some of the less favorable shots and some of my favorites with you.

Although there are dates on the posts on this page they do not reflect the date of the post. They are the date the picture was taken or in the case that there is no photo it is the date that I had the thought and decided to post the information. I am sorry for the lack of chronology here, perhaps I will work on putting things in order when there are things to put in order.
